“Jean-Luc : Hi ! Watching cartoons on tv, playing with Gi Joe and Big Jim, drawing and making cabins in the woods .”
“Omule : How would you describe your style as an illustrator ? ”
“Jean-Luc : Dark love stories on white paper .”
“Omule : Where do you get your inspiration from ?”
“Jean-Luc : Inspiration is waiting around the corner, reading a book, watching a movie, closing my eyes, wandering, meeting some people that share some of their own stories.”
“Omule : What is your ideal creative environment ?”
“Jean-Luc : Night time is the right time, light up a cigarette , put a record on and lets have a ride!”
“Omule : What do you like the most about your work ?”
“Jean-Luc : It’s good to wake up and work on a piece of paper. I have the job I always dreamed of, I am a lucky boy ;) I really enjoy freedom.”
“Omule : What kind of music do you listen to? Can you tell me some of your favourite artists ? Do you have any favourite artists from your industry?”
“Jean-Luc : Robert Crumb , Joel Peter Witkin , Joe Coleman , Mezzo, John Heartfield, Jean Michel Nicollet Robert Johnson, Neil Young , Nick Cave , Godflesh , Howlin Wolf, Townes Van Zandt .”
“Omule : What kind of books and movies do you like ?”
“Jean-Luc : Alan Parker ‘s Angel heart , Sean Penn’s : The Indian runner , Todd Browning s : The unknown , Flannery O connor ‘s : Wise blood , Glenn taylor s : The ballad of Trenchmouth Taggart.”
“Omule : How do you work with your natural clock ?”
“Jean-Luc : I am always late so natural or not I do not look at the clock . I love going a lil bit through the limits of the night, sometimes just before falling asleep some magic can happen on paper , sometimes I want to go too much far away and shitty things happen.”
“Omule : How do you know when it’s time to take a break ?”
“Jean-Luc : When I am aware that shitty things happen so i go to sleep before ruining the whole work .”
“Omule : What do you like the most about tattoos ?”
“Jean-Luc : it’s a good way to collect and bring pictures and stories with you everywhere .”
“Omule : Favourite place to go on a holiday .”
“Jean-Luc : It depends on my mood but desert woods , small rivers or lakes or a cabin are my favourite places . I also like visiting churches and museums too.”

“Jean-Luc : Birkenstock and crocs .”
